…when you’d rather stare at a computer screen all day instead of going to see a movie.

…your iPod consists of playlists… for your characters.

…you wish a certain celebrity would stop aging so they can play your character in the movie later.

…you get funny looks and people assuming you’re conceited when you say, “I just need an agent!”

…you get excited when you see blog hits from cities where your favorite agents live.

…you heavily weigh names, trying to decide who is more worthy of a cool name. Your future kid or your character? ;)

…You talk aloud to yourself in public, and even go as far as to ask random strangers questions about your book that you can’t seem to answer for yourself.

True story: “Hey, do you think a ghost still has his sense of smell?” (I asked a mother with a basket full of kids and food at the grocery store. She gave me a blank stare and quickly wheeled away. I honestly didn’t know what her problem was at first, until my husband whispered, “Would you quit doing that?!” in a panicked, girly voice.)
