I still think he’s a bad momba-jomba, but six years ago, he did something that people still talk about (in our neck of the woods, anyway).

My husband played college basketball for the Charlotte 49ers (hence my screenname on AW) and six years ago to the day, they went up to play the (then) defending National Champion Syracuse Orangemen. Here is a clip a fan made (the quality kind of stinks) that shows just why my husband was a bad momba-jomba. If you can’t figure out which one is him, here is a hint – he’s the one hitting the 3′s. ;)

And another video for good measure. Funny story with this game – there was a blizzard and we drove from Ohio to the game because we had to hand of our dog to his family for the Christmas holidays. My sister and I ran into the gym JUST in time to see this end of the game play. Can you tell I’m proud of him? Awwhhh…love!

And he is still a bad momba-jomba. Why, you may ask? No, he’s not being featured on ESPN anymore or anything, but he’s a wonderful husband and father. I’m lucky to be treated like a princess everyday and I look forward to growing old with him and watching our grandkids play while we sit in our rockers on our front porch. I am so very thankful.

Sappy is over now, I promise!

Whoa! Your hubby could really stroke those threes, couldn’t he? I love a good dunk, but those long-range bombs just rip the heart out of the other team. Happy Thanksgiving.

They really do and that’s why I am a personal fan of the three-point shot. lol

Wow, that was crazy! Uh, is your husband an alien? Sorry, I’ve just got “V” on the brain! :)

Now I have the scene where Diana ate the mouse stuck in my brain… Thanks Julie. :)

Amanda, did your husband’s games ever get shown on national television? Local television maybe? They would probably have better footage.

  5. Amanda Plavich says:

Yeah, and I have them on DVD, but they just aren’t on YouTube. I’m too lazy to do it myself. lol

Awesome! I’m more of a baseball fan personally, but I loved the clips. Of course, being a good husband and father is more important than sports. That’s what makes him a bad monma-jomba!
