bringing back memories

September 27, 2009

The interesting part about working on my young adult novel is the rush of emotions and memories it brings back.  The good, the bad, and the ugly.

The story I’m working on is drawing from some experiences I had when I was in school.  I’ve felt my face flush, the anger rise, and the giggles start to escape.  It’s crazy how that works.

That is all. :)

Ah, so is the Time Warp in it? Scorpions? :D

Hahahaha!! You know…maybe they SHOULD be!

  3. Middle school was so..so…tragic and drama and music and jelly shoes and mesh shirts and school dances and going to mall with friends AND NO PARENTS and eating french fries with gravy and sleepovers and…and…and..

I love reminiscing with my daughter (she’s 10.) She thinks I am a freak. I laugh inwardly, knowing her daughter will think the same of her.

    Happy writing!

I wrote a young adult novel too. My main character deals with some of the things I dealt with in high school.
